What is the NBL Blitz?

The NBL Blitz is five days of non-stop action at Red Energy Arena from Wednesday 2nd September until Sunday 6th September, as teams make their final preparations for the upcoming season. Learn how scoring works, how standings update and how the winner is decided.

Game Format

Each team will play two games at the 2026 NBL Blitz in Bendigo. Standings are updated after every game using the following points system.

Scoring

3 points: Winning team
‍1 point: Team wins each quarter
‍0.5 points: Each team win for a drawn quarter

Note: Overtime periods are excluded from points bonuses.

Winner

Top team wins will be awarded the Loggins-Bruton Cup. Most Valuable Player will receive the Ray Borner Medal.
